Stabilizer
Name is misleading. This is NOT a LoRA that can magically fix your overfitted merged base model.
This is a finetuned model from pretrained model. But trained as a LoRA.
11k images. No bias, no default style.
Zero smooth plastic glossy AI image in dataset. Glossy Al images are polluting the world, but not on my watch, I handpicked every single image.
Natural language captions from Gemini, rather than tags in random order with high FPR.
Standard noise scheduler. Inpainting/img2img friendly.
Improvements:
You can get the style exactly as it should be (as long as the model knows).
Comparisons with pretrained base model:
https://civarchive.com/images/84145167 (general styles, you get the style exactly as it should be)
https://civarchive.com/images/84256995 (artist styles, no style shifting because this model does not have bias)
See more xy plots in cover images.
Why LoRA?
This LoRA is a DoRA (from Nvidia), which is more efficient than traditional LoRA.
Enough for thousands of training images.
What? You prefer to download and store a 7GiB checkpoint than a 80Mib LoRA?
Share merges using this model is prohibited. FYI, there are hidden trigger words to print invisible watermark. I coded the watermark and detector myself. I don't want to use it, but I can.
This model only published on Civitiai and TensorArt. If you see "me" and this sentence in other platforms, all those are fake and the platform you are using is a pirate platform.
How to use
It is highly recommended that you use pretrained base model.
And load this LoRA with strength 1.
Versions:
cknb (ChenkinNoob-XL).
nbvp10 (NoobAI v-pred v1.0). FYI: you don't need CFG hacks (RescaleCFG etc.).
nbep10 (NoobAI eps v1.0).
illus01 (Illustrious v0.1).
Load this LoRA first
This LoRA uses a new arch called DoRA from Nvidia, more efficient than traditional LoRA. But the patch weight is dynamically calculated based on the currently loaded base model weights (which will be changed when you loading other LoRAs). To avoid unexpected changes, load this LoRA first.
Specify styles in prompt
This model does not have an strong default style and is very creative. You must specify the style you want in the prompt.
If you want to use it on finetuned/merged base models:
I personally disagree this. This is not the model's original intention. But this is a LoRA after all.
Be aware:
This LoRA can't remove glossy shiny plastic AI style. Although the dataset is "AI image free". It can't make AI image polluted 1girl overfitted 50 versions of Nova furry 3D anime WAI or whatever look better. What the model learned is learned. Use a pretrained base model if you want to get rid of overfitted AI style.
What is "overfitted AI style"? This is what Craft Lawrence (from spice and wolf) should be, if you've seen the anime: img. This is what those AI style polluted 1girl overfitted model generated: img
Some base models already merged this model. If you got deformed images with this LoRA even at low strength (e.g. <0.5). Your base model has already merged this LoRA (and you merged it twice). And the model weights got multiplied (because how the DoRA works) and collapsed.
Beware of fake base model creators, aka. thieves. Some "creators" never do the training, they only grab other people's models, merge them, wipe all metadata and credits, and sell it as their own base model.

Have tested many versions of nbep on "waiSHUFFLENoob" checkpoint (v-pred) on a variety of prompts. My findings:
- (latest version) nbep 0.205. Between strenghts 0.5-1 this LoRA heavily reduces artists style and cranks the contrast. This sometimes messes with skin color and often introduces odd lighting. Images go from 2D to distinctly 2.5D. Composition and textures are improved, but at the cost of everything else.
- (the last best version) nbep 0.138. Images remain as 2D and even at strength of 1, the artists style is preserved. Color changes are mostly an improvement, same for the composition. I would highly recommend this version if you are sensitive to changes in style and just want a "make the image 10% better" button.
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately this LoRA does not support v-pred.
nbep v0.138 is the last version technically supporting both e-pred and v-pred.
After that, I just decided not to support v-pred anymore. So I can add more stuff to e-pred.
Also later versions are focusing on natural textures, which don't work well with AI styles, which includes Wai models. Low strength should work. But I've never tested the effects. .
i also noticed similar issues thanks for the info i will try that version too
Update and correction.
After I re-checked Noobai docs. This lora do support v-pred. There are no technical incompatibilities.
The reason it does not work on noobai v-pred with high strength (>0.5), is because noobai v-pred also trained with many real world images (and cosplays...) to regulate the model and to avoid overfitting.
So when apply this LoRA (later verions) on top of v-pred, there are 2 times of realistic effects, and will overlap anime effects, and output realistic faces.
So there are no technical incompatibilities that will affect model's output. Just overlapped effects. It's OK to just use a low strength.
nbep 0.138 does not have above issues is because it was trained on 2D anime (game wallpaper) dataset.
@reakaakasky i tried these on illustrious models that are not based on noob and this still checks out. Newer ones force 2.5D style at even 0.1 weight, turning flat lines into softer lines while older ones do not have that effect on style
@Wizzi That is strange. Most models I tested needs >0.6 strength to work because they have too strong default AI styles.
Even on vanilla illustrious v0.1, it needs >0.5 strength to remove outlines.
What base model and prompt are you using?
@reakaakasky wai 7. I am not saying it becomes fully 3d btw. it just loses the crispness and sharp shadow effect of full 2d style
After CivitAI nuked its fanbase countless times, effectively killing any unique creativity, it’s hard to see much that stands out these days. That was just my rant, lol. I’ll be testing your LORA looks dope! Looking forward to seeing how versatile it could be. I'll post some tests in a bit.
I find that with heavy style lora it becomes fairly unstable ends up being a coin toss but if your using it with just base models or simple style lora it seems to work well 0.8 str or 80% I was getting decent results with Vpred model
Without opening up any cans of worms (hopefully), what exactly has been getting nuked? I've been seeing people saying that here and there, and I've been out of the loop for a while.
@Cooler94970 its lots of censoring + monetization decisions that drove bunch of creators away or demotivated them
Some thing special. Thanx
