Some thoughts after some quick testing of V9. Compared toV8 it feels like V9 goes for deeper dark tones to start with. Shadows are deeper, loosing a little detail. But that is mostly up to personal taste if that is good or bad :)
Also feels like it is little worse on eyes straight out of the box (with no detailer).
Prompt adherence is where it seems to suffer mostly though. Specially if there is more than one color mentioned in the prompt.
For example "amber hair, green loincloth" in a prompt gave me green hair in 3/4 generations on V9. While V8 got them correct in all generation
Still, not a huge batch of generations so might just be me being unlucky with the seeds. Look forward playing around more with this :)
Prompting tip (for V8, haven't tried V9 yet): if you're getting a lot of sameface issues, try leaving out the eye color tags, or at least lowering their strength. You can always inpaint later. Also, "eyelashes" and other generic facial feature tags will force better face detail/focus without any downside.
"Shiny skin, glowing eyes, crooked teeth, huge ass, plump, thick lips, blush, expressionless, simple background" negatives are almost always beneficial.
Unique male characters of different ages - you are the best creator at this.! Thank you.!
Nice model overall, but the face is always the same. Might be useful for people who try to generate consistent characters, but for me seeing same face every time is boring. Even with Vector Sculptor level turned up to 1.0, the face is always the same, and it is not even pretty. Dunno 🤔💭🚿 I end up using JuggernautXL on face detailer step, because it's the only model that gives me varied faces
I experimented with creating various faces using wildcards in prompts. The workflow went like this: one part generates just the face, another part generates the character, then I use ReActor to swap the character's face with the generated one. It can introduce some variability - might even throw a Face Detailer in there at some point to see if it helps.
Didn't experiment much though - I usually just googled for a pretty face, lol, and swapped that in instead.
