Beautiful boomer-shooter style! Always loved the 2.5D look with all the sprites. I remember finding the first real 3D games "too smooth" looking at first😂
Really excited for projects like the GameNGen, so we can start training games!
true, i also remember that change from 2d to 3d 😁what was your favorite game?
yes, gamegen, fantastic, i can't wait to get my hands on something like that
@Ciro_Negrogni hard to pick favorites, but I think I in the 2.5D era I (aside from doom ofc) I really loved Blood for the occult theme. And a pitchfork as the starting weapon was pretty special, and still is 😀
Early 3D I enjoyed the Zelda games Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask a lot for the gloomy implications in many side quests. Had an N64 back then and no ps1, so I unfortunately did not get the first-hand FFVII experience, which would have been right up my alley, too. Scifi and greatswords... I mean look at my gallery, it still is an obsessive passion 😄
Did you have a favorite that you feel still influences your work, interests, passions today?
When we get to make games run by AI we could as well have LoRAs like a mod-support analogy to really make any game perfectly tailored to anyone, while still at its core remaining a shared experience you can have in common with others.
I believe that is an important component. For instance grinding in games feels much less meaningful and more exhausting in a singleplayer game compared to an online game where it is perceived as more valuable by having other players as a potential point of reference or competition. And if even I feel that way, as someone who even went full singleplayer in any MMO I ever played, then it should be far more intense for people actually involved in the multiplayer aspect of it, I reckon.
Forgive the wall of text 😅🙏
@redpinkretro I had a ps1 and a pc. I don't have favorite games, I played most of the titles that have now become cult. Maybe the influences in my case come from a mix of what gaming was initially and what was imagined it could become, both aesthetically and narratively. I totally agree with you. Especially on the ai side, we saw how our loRa for SD came to life only with the interaction of a model like animatediff, the current state exists entities of truly very high complexity, I think that at a certain point it will be enough to use even just a sort of ipadapter. We would have infinite possibilities. Games generated by prompts in just a few moments.
@Ciro_Negrogni There are exciting times ahead with a scarily high probability of turning into a self-indulgence-isolation-dystopia or a hermit's paradise, depending on viewpoint. One man's heaven is another's hell and all that 😄
@redpinkretro come on don't be so pessimistic, we could even become extinct sooner due to a mistake by a lab technician 😅
@Ciro_Negrogni Absolutely true 😂
But I am actually in team "Hermit's Paradise" and would probably enjoy some self-indulgence, if my head was not full of ideas I need to pursue constantly. Basically I would love to play games all day, but will most likely end up remaining a compulsive content creator that finds no time to enjoy his own toys 😅
I believe I did not even touch a single game this entire year. That is just rude towards myself at this point 😄
@redpinkretro I understand you perfectly mate, same here
why does anything over 15 years old have to be "boomer"? nothing to do with this era of gaming (or gaming in general)
Awesome lora as always, are you still active in tesorart because i dont see any of your new loras there. Cheers
you're right, as soon as I finish the bigger jobs I'll update there too
