Realism by Stable Yogi Pony V6.5
V6.5 is here — and you all helped build it.
Real thank-you to everyone who pushed V6 hard, sent feedback, and posted the broken hands. V6.5's fix list literally came from you. Anatomy, hand grips, expressions, twin-tails, full-body proportions, isolated objects, painterly style separation, hair color consistency — all worked on this round.
Trigger Word
99rbsy99 — add this to every prompt for the V6.5 realism style. Place it at the END of your tag list for soft activation, or earlier for stronger effect.
Compatible with my character LoRAs (which use 99bsy99) — they stack cleanly without conflict. Use both together for a character rendered in V6.5 realism.
All Variants in This Release
Seven variants ship today, covering everything from 4 GB CPU setups to 24 GB workstations.
FP32 (safetensors, around 13 GB)
Maximum precision. Research and production work. Best for 24 GB+ cards.
FP16 (safetensors, around 6.5 GB)
The default. Best quality and speed balance for most users.
BF16 (safetensors, around 6.5 GB)
Same size as FP16, slightly faster on RTX 3000+ with native BF16 support.
FP8 Scaled (safetensors, around 3.2 GB)
Near-FP16 quality at half the VRAM. Native in Forge and ComfyUI. Great for 8 GB cards.
DMD2 Merge (safetensors, around 6.5 GB)
FP16 with DMD2 distillation LoRA pre-merged. 4-step generation. LCM sampler, CFG 1.2. Fastest path for any card.
Q8_0 GGUF (around 3.9 GB)
8-bit quantized. Near-FP16 quality. For 12+ GB cards in GGUF workflows.
Q4_0 GGUF (around 2.7 GB)
4-bit quantized. Smallest file. Makes SDXL actually run on 6–8 GB entry-level cards.
Quick Pick by Your VRAM
24 GB+ (3090, 4090, 5090, A6000) — FP16 or BF16. No reason to compress.
12–16 GB (3060 12GB, 4070, 4080) — FP8 Scaled or Q8_0 GGUF. Near-FP16 quality with headroom for LoRAs.
8–12 GB (3060, 4060 Ti, 2080) — FP8 Scaled or Q8_0 GGUF. Solid quality, comfortable VRAM use.
6–8 GB (3050, 2060, 1660) — Q4_0 GGUF. Smallest file, makes SDXL actually work on entry-level cards.
CPU only or 4 GB cards — Q4_0 GGUF in ComfyUI-GGUF. Slow but functional.
DMD2_Fp16 variant. 4 steps instead of 25–30.
Recommended Settings
For FP32, FP16, BF16, FP8 Scaled, and GGUF variants:
Sampler — DPM++ 2M Karras, Euler a, or Restart
Steps — 25 to 30
CFG — 4 to 7
Resolution — Native SDXL (1024×1024 or aspect-ratio buckets)
For DMD2 specifically:
Sampler — LCM
Steps — 4 (not 25+)
CFG — 1.2 (not 7)
Result — Comparable quality to a 25-step generation in roughly 1/6 the time
Quants Explained — Which File Do I Pick?
If you've ever seen FP16, BF16, FP8, Q4, Q8 and just downloaded the biggest one, this section is for you.
What's a quant
? Same model, smaller file. Weights are compressed so they fit on less VRAM. Some quality loss vs FP16, but smart compression (Q8_0) is so close you won't see a difference in normal use.
Quality Ladder
FP16 ≈ BF16 ≈ Q8_0 > FP8 > Q4_0. Above Q4_0 the differences are basically invisible in normal generation.
About Speed
Smaller quants are NOT always faster. Generation speed is mostly compute-bound on most cards — quants help with VRAM fit, not raw iterations per second. Where they DO help speed: avoiding system-RAM offload, which is what kills speed on small cards when the model doesn't fit.
Three Reasons to Use a Quant
VRAM fit. A 6 GB card cannot load a 6.5 GB FP16 SDXL — your UI will try to offload to system RAM and generation crawls to under 0.1 iterations per second. A Q4_0 fits with room to spare.
Speed via avoiding offload. Once a model fits in VRAM, speed depends on your card's compute, not file size. But the second it doesn't fit, speed drops 10 to 100 times. Quants are insurance against that cliff.
More room for LoRAs, ControlNet, hires fix. Even if FP16 technically fits, loading a couple of LoRAs and a ControlNet on top can push you over. Q8_0 leaves you 2–3 GB of headroom for the rest of your stack.
How to Load GGUF Files
GGUFs need a loader, since most UIs don't natively support them yet.
For ComfyUI — install the ComfyUI-GGUF custom node:
https://github.com/city96/ComfyUI-GGUF
For Forge or Forge Neo — install my Forge SDXL GGUF extension:
https://github.com/brandulateai/sd-forge-sdxl-gguf-brandulateai
After installing, GGUFs load straight from the standard checkpoint dropdown. No external module picker, no extra setup.
All my GGUFs are bundled (UNet + CLIP-L + CLIP-G + VAE in one file) so they load without picking separate components.

V5.0_FP16 is my favorite you've released. Works great with the embeddings
Your V5 FP16, thanks for the checkpoint, but it's too dark for my taste. I think it needs a bit more brightness and color vibrancy. Your Ultra ILLU is significantly better in this regard.
Agree. The contrast and saturation on Ultra Realistic v1 (ILLU, both FP16 + DMD2) seems better than Realism v5 (PONY). Not as dim/faded. Bet UR v1 would merge nicely with Realism v5.
Agree, i have no idea why so many realistic models make the pics so dark, real life isn't like that at all
Yep. Every image, even prompting for bright natural light, is dim. Kind of a bummer, because otherwise the model is great.
This is a good checkpoint, but unfortunately it suffers from the very common "butt chin" :-(
Awesome checkpoint, love it
I am confuse which version you recomand that will have accuracy and speed in a pony / SD
All the recent Pony models are excellent. After working with V3, V4, and V5, I’d say that V5 is a logical, incremental progression from V3. Very similar, but slightly more refined and realistic. V4 is a bit different. The colors are more vibrant and the women are less realistic, but very aesthetically pleasing. I like photorealism, but I like certain kinds of hyper-realism even more, and V4 adds the right kind of "wow" factor. Thanks for all you do!
Can someone help me please. I have downloaded the checkpoint, took one of these images and dragged to comfyui to get the workflow. But all generated images have these artifacts. What am I doing worng? Thanks!

Looks like a wrong sampler.
try different VAE
I love this checkpoint but have run into issues in ComfyUI vs onsite. Generating onsite, about 5% of generations were extremely washed out, oversaturated messes. Low % and otherwise stunning results—no big deal. Dragging an onsite image into ComfyUI, though, and every single generation is that washed out, oversaturated weird look. Should I be using different nodes that what the Civit default embeds in the workflow?
tbh, I prefer the v4 fp16 over the v5, v5 is much more darker on the face, v4 looks much brighter and better imo.
x2
Thanks for the feedback, next version is cooking, will fix it.
This is my forst time using this model and its quickly become my favorite
This is my absolute go-to, standard, everyday checkpoint. I love it! (And now I can’t use it for a week because of the new auction system, even though I bid 500 buzz every week to try to keep it available…)
I understand, but these days i have request for a lots of checkpoints from my inventory, And to make them available for generation each week, i need 50k to 100k buzz, and i don't have that.
So Early access buzz help me make it available for the community.
Its sad but this is the way things work now.
@Stable_Yogi hey there great work btw. Actually i dont know whats going on with the new System. Will it be back online or whats going on ?
@kyantt If you want to make sure that a particular checkpoint is available, you have to set a bid for it. The Pony version of Yogi’s amazing work has barely not made it into the top 200 a couple of times since the new system launched, which means it’s not available for a week. If just a few more people bid even 500 buzz like I do every week, then the checkpoint would probably always be available.
@Stable_Yogi Exactly — super frustrating. It certainly wouldn’t be fair to expect you to cover that! I try to do my part with a recurring bid.
@SteelandLace spend 10k or more now in the Action System. Hope it will helps
@SteelandLace See if only 10-15 people make a bid 500 a week. that should keep the checkpoint in top 200, it required i will add buzz myself to keep it afloat.
Help from community is requested. 🙏 it will help everyone.
I have started bidding ~500 Buzz on at least one Pony version this model. Last week V3, 4, and 5 were all available for on-site generation - w00t! However, this week, no version is available. If you search Civitai for all Checkpoints and sort by Highest Rated for the Month or Year, this model is ranked #9 for both. Assuming high rankings translates to high usage, I think Civitai is making a mistake by removing top models from the generator.
@NoneMoreBlack Completely agreed. Bidding to get a “rare” model featured is totally fine. But a checkpoint that’s almost always been in the top 200 shouldn’t fall out and be unusable based on lack of bids.
@SteelandLace This a good point and should be highlighted to the mods. 👍
so like maybe I'm just dumb but this model has been my bread and butter for months and all of a sudden, as of yesterday, I can't actually bring it up for the on-site generator. Like any of his models. What's going on?
Same here dude
Nothing strange friends, Just bid on the onsite generator and each week it becomes available for generation. https://civitai.com/auctions
I try my best but don't have the buzz to fund all of the bidding by myself.
I'd be more than happy to chip in but this makes it seem like they're expecting a single person to bear the brunt every week or so? I don't really understand the auction system, at least to me it seems like a very inefficient thing that has one person pay the whole thing for a week instead of letting hundreds/thousands pay a little bit each? Or am I missing something
@bdd101711 They are letting hundreds/thousands pay a little bit each.
You can do your part, others can also add more buzz to same model.
@Stable_Yogi Ah, so we can pay for access? How much is it and do we have to pay with Crypto currency?
@Acrux2067 Buy buzz with crypto, then bid for the model to stay available in image generator. Easy
@Stable_Yogi Ok, I just bid. 😀 When do we find out who wins? And does my bid even have a chance of succeeding? And how long will your Model be available if we win? Thanks for answering my questions A 🙂
@Acrux2067 Thanks !
After the win model stays available on generation for next 7 days.
If it wins you will see the generate button on the model page. I think if the bid is near 10000 then it should stay in top 200 and easily win. There is a time on that page, check that out and make sure to tweak the bid just in the last hours. ( if required)
@Stable_Yogi Ah... I understand now! According to the tally, were are in a very good spot. I just bid a bit more. So, I will check back in a few days to make sure we're eligible. I really LOVE your work. When I make my renders using your model, I get very few "mutants". Thank you so much for producing and providing it for us. Good luck on Thursday, friend!
@Acrux2067 Thank you 🙏❤️
We won! But for some reason, it's not available for generations. Is anyone else having this problem?
Amazing 😍
Using v9 of 1.5 and having trouble prompting pubic and anal hair, are there any negative prompts for adding hair to areas of the body? or will I need another model?
V3 Pony is excellent ❤️
Hey, Yogi, THX. You need to work on background. Its a bit blury
Good!
Anyone else having a hard time generating facial variety?
you could try to add nationalities and skin colors to the prompt with different weights
Amazing visuals on the V5 XL version. Like, one of the best photorealistic models I've used. However, the underexposure in every image is making it hard to use. Even when prompting for bright environments, I'm running into issues with the images turning out way too dark and underexposed.
I would love to revisit this XL model some day if this can be corrected.
Thanks for the input, will correct in next update. 😊
Thank for your work , beautiful results. But why the eyes and nose only in full body is deformed juste with full body prompt???
use Adetailer/Face detailer node in comfy ui, that should fix it.
