Cariad Lloyd is a British comedian, actress, writer, and podcaster renowned for her work in improvisational comedy and her insightful explorations of grief through various media.

Career

Lloyd's career spans multiple facets of the entertainment industry:​

• Improvisational Comedy: She is a founding member of Austentatious, an improvised comedy group that performs in the style of Jane Austen novels. The group has garnered acclaim for creating full-length plays based on audience suggestions, performed in Regency attire. ​

• Television and Radio: Lloyd has appeared in numerous British television shows, including Peep Show, Have I Got News for You, QI, Give Out Girls, Cardinal Burns, Siblings, Crackanory, Toast of London, Murder in Successville, and Inside No. 9. She also wrote and starred in her own sketch show, The Cariad Show, for BBC Three. ​

• Podcasting: In 2016, Lloyd launched Griefcast, a podcast where she engages in conversations with guests about their experiences of grief and loss. The show has received multiple awards, including Best Entertainment Podcast and Podcast of the Year at the British Podcast Awards, as well as an ARIA Award for Best Podcast. ​

• Writing: In 2023, she authored You Are Not Alone, a book that delves into the themes of grief and bereavement, drawing from her experiences hosting Griefcast. The book was both critically acclaimed and a Times Bestseller.
