Yasuo Ohtagaki (born March 31, 1967) is a renowned Japanese manga artist from Osaka Prefecture. He is best known for creating Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt, a critically acclaimed seinen manga serialized in Shogakukan's Big Comic Superior. The series, set during the One Year War in UC 0079, has become one of the most celebrated Gundam spin-offs. Beyond manga, Ohtagaki has expanded into anime production, contributing to projects like Altered Carbon: Resleeved (2020) and Make My Day (2023). His distinctive art style and compelling storytelling have earned him a dedicated following in the mecha genre.
