This is a model of the lensman Kimball Kinnison as depicted in the 1984 anime Galactic Patrol Lensman. The anime is based on the novel "Galactic Patrol" by Dr. E. E. Smith, published in 1950, but the novel was originally a series of short stories serialized in magazine "Astounding Stories" starting in 1937. Truly one of the foundational works of the space-opera genre.

Kimball himself honestly isn't a very likeable protagonist; having been bred to be the perfect human specimen, everything just seems to come too easy to him. Very reminiscent of Paul in the Dune series.
