Aetherborn are beings formed when mortal flesh bonded with raw aether during an ancient convergence that thinned the veil between worlds. Neither fully physical nor entirely ethereal, their bodies are sustained by bound arcane energy, giving them luminous eyes, softly glowing veins, and an otherworldly presence. They do not age normally, instead evolving in response to emotion, magic, and environment. Aetherborn value self-control and balance, as unchecked emotion can destabilize their form, and they often serve as scholars, guardians of ley lines, or travelers between realms—walking eternally between reality and the Aether.
