    (1958年12/27—2017/3/26)

Real name CHEN Jin-Wen. In 1983, his first comic work Warrior Panther was published in the China Times. After receiving positive reviews, he also published Fighting against God and then Legends of Assassins from Records of the Grand Historian for the hand-drawn ink painting themed comic Legends of Assassins. His drawing style combines Chinese ink painting with Western sketching, exquisite and bold, and his works are full of heroic chivalry. In 1990, he caused a stir when he received an invitation from Japan’s most important comic publishing company, Kodansha, to publish in Japan a drawing of the story from Chinese history: “The Heroes of Eastern Zhou.” In 1991, of the Japanese Cartoonists’ Association Awards, he was specially awarded with the “Excellence Award.” He was the first non-native Japanese in 20 years to receive this prestigious award. Japan’s Asahi News praised him as a “genius, talent, prodigy” unmatched in the comic world in 20 years. Japan’s comic world honorably dubbed him “Treasure of Asia.”
