Character design is the process of creating and developing visual representations of characters for various forms of media, such as animation, video games, comics, and films.
In character design, artists consider various aspects to bring the character to life. This includes their appearance, personality, backstory, abilities, and role within the story. The goal is to create a visually compelling and memorable character that resonates with the audience.
Character designers often start by brainstorming and sketching different ideas, exploring variations in shapes, proportions, and features. They consider factors such as age, gender, body type, clothing, and accessories to convey the character's identity and characteristics.
Designers also pay attention to facial expressions, body language, and gestures to communicate emotions and personality traits. They consider color schemes, textures, and visual details that help define the character's world and story.
Character design can range from realistic and detailed to stylized and exaggerated, depending on the desired aesthetic and narrative tone. The design process may involve multiple iterations and feedback from creative teams to refine and enhance the character's visual appeal and storytelling potential.
Successful character design goes beyond just the visual aspect, aiming to create characters that are relatable, memorable, and able to connect with the audience on an emotional level. They play a crucial role in storytelling, contributing to the overall narrative and leaving a lasting impression.
Whether in animation, video games, or other media, well-crafted character design adds depth, personality, and visual interest to the creative work, enriching the audience's experience.

sd 2.1 not showing up when put into lora folder
Needs better renders on front page as examples, cause this lora has potential.
can you make one that just makes "Frontview, sideview, backview" for an arbitrary thing? Like, i could use this for any kind of 3d modeling not just characters :)
(But those three views are most important)
I wonder how you would train such a LoRA, maybe render 10+ images of objects from 3 sides and train the LoRA with that, no idea.
@JayNL Maybe a bunch of CGI's from the exact same views? To start with? Or drawings with the exact same angles? i dunno? :D
@JayNL There are TONS of character designs to train on. + you load any 3D mesh in Blender (from Sketchfab for example) and screenshot that object/character from front, back and side. Do that on a proper database (150+) and it should give out a pretty capable LoRA.
The fact that all of these designs are AI makes me sick. look at the way the girl in the blue hood’s hair is going through the hood. look at her eyes. it’s all a bunch of AI slop. AI art is not art.
It's literally a design, a sketch.
Keep in mind that this is an old technology, an old model for training.
Use it as a tool, not just as a finished product, and you will be happy!
Why are you even on this page, if you hate AI so much? Please go back to your echo chamber, where you belong.
And the fact you still try to fight AI with the same comments proven wrong again and again by actual industry artists is boring too. Fighting AI with the same wording (and wrong) 4 years ago, lol.
If it makes you sick why are you at an AI site 🤣 makes no sense
You're on the wrong website buddy
AI is the future. It's not going to replace real art it's here to assist real artist. I do art as a hobby and now thanks to AI models like this, I can get ideas, make new art style fast using AI is reference. People who whine will be left behind, people who accept change are the only ones who'll survive in the long term.
This one came to an ice cream store to complain about artificial flavors
You just roll in from stupid town?
