How does non illustrious LoRa works with illustrious resources? I thought LoRa needs to be trained with illustrious for it to work, you are telling me any old XL LoRa's will work with illustrious?
With a closer look it seems you used pony XL lora's, how is that possible? I am even more confused now
@Sonziggy Pony is just XL but with a lot of training that makes it quite different, Illustrious is the same idea. THAT SAID, it's all basically based around XL... And as such I think loras trained for one of them should work on all of them, though some combinations of illustrious models and pony loras I think might be less compatible than others on a case-by-case basis so if you want a lora to work more consistently with your illustrious models then it'd be advisable to get an illustrious version of that lora... But again, with a pony version you can probably get by perfectly fine with it, I think the advantage of using an illustrious lora over a pony lora for your illustrious checkpoint is basically just greater certainty it'll work as intended, odds are either will work.
@Sonziggy I posted three images of Katara to show the difference. In the first one, I didn't use the Pony Lora but did apply the Katara tag, and you can see that Katara appears. This means Illustrious has already been trained on Katara. In the second image, I applied the Pony model, and we can notice that the image of Katara is improved. So, it's not the Pony Lora that creates images of Katara; it's Illustrious. However, the Pony model enhances the quality of the basic Katara from Illustrious. In the third image, I removed both the Katara tag and the Pony Lora, and now we can see that it's no longer Katara.
@zura_janai i see, its more understandable since you put it that way, i am still not a big fan of illustrious but one thing i will give it is that it can "recognize" many characters, even more than pony can, its quite good at that
