These lists are good for:

• finding inspiration

• discovering new animals you might not have thought to prompt for

• getting mostly consistent results

These lists are not good for:

• using as reference for what the animals actually look like

• using as a reference for how animals are actually classified

• getting perfectly consistent results

These are organized lists of hundreds of animals that have been tested in SDXL plus pre-generated reference images. All images were tested using the base SDXL model and a lightning LoRA. You may get better or worse results by using other checkpoint and LoRA combinations.

You can add "animal" or "bird" after the wildcard in your prompt if you're getting meanings that aren't animals.

Note that my selection was not based on scientific accuracy. Animals only needed to have some characteristics of the real animal, but I tried to make sure they were somewhat interesting and consistent.

SwarmUI supports wildcards natively. Automatic1111 requires an extension.
