Khan Noonien Singh is the main antagonist in "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan." Portrayed by Ricardo Montalbán, Khan is a genetically engineered superhuman from the 20th century. He first appeared in the original "Star Trek" series episode "Space Seed," where he was exiled by Captain James T. Kirk to a barren planet. In "The Wrath of Khan," set 15 years later, Khan escapes his exile and seeks revenge on Kirk.
