@Hustmox Well if it has to have character, most garnature armor from the reinassance, especially Germany, has some really cool lacquered & gilded gothic full plates. The ancient greece Dendra Panoply is very unique given its ringed plates, which is somewhat similar to the later roman Lorica Segmentata. In the east there are the lamellar armors, most iconic of which being the Japanese samurai armor (I cannot for the life of me tell the O-Yoroi from the Do-maru, however). The Jurchen/Mongolian lamellar armour is also very intimating-looking

I'm personally into historical european arms & armor so the east I can't provide much, and I prefer the reinassance over the crusade and I differentiate thefull plate armor at the time between the Gothic and the Millaneses (the latter is asymmetrical). But the helmets are interchangeable.

If I may, there are some european reinassance armor I think may be interesting: Armour of Sir Thomas Sackville (w/ a closed burgonet/helm), the Partial armour & Parts of an Armor by Pompeo della cesa (both has the Armet helmet). The three-quarter armor has the burgonent helmet and it's differentible by the lack of separated leg armor.

If none of those interest you, there's also the Coat of Plates, which can appear as if it were a well tailored jacket.
