Iris 3B | Forge Neo Extension
Generate with Iris 3B inside Forge Neo, using the checkpoint, preset and Generate button you already know: an image model that paints every pixel directly, with no VAE, plus 4x image restoration, depth maps and 4-step turbo images, even on 8 GB GPUs.
Requires an up-to-date Forge Neo (the neo branch). On an older version it stays disabled and says so in the console, and Forge Neo keeps working as usual.
Features 🚀
🖼️ Native Generation
Runs inside txt2img: no separate tab, no extra environment
No VAE to choose: Iris paints the picture directly, and the live preview shows the real image as it forms
Uses the same text encoder as Krea 2, so if you have Krea 2 you already have it
Loads the bf16 and the lighter INT8 checkpoints, tested on an 8 GB RTX 2070
⚡ Turbo LoRA
A 1024x1024 image in 4 steps, about 4 seconds on an RTX 2070
Its own Iris Turbo schedule in the Schedule type list
🔍 Restore x4
A small or blurry picture restored and enlarged four times in a single pass, in img2img
Large pictures are handled in pieces and blended, with no seams
🌊 Depth
A greyscale depth map of any picture in img2img, near is bright, ready for depth ControlNets
🔌 LoRA
Iris LoRAs with the usual
<lora:name:weight>syntax, with the bf16 and INT8 checkpoints alike
🛡️ Safe by Design
Changes no Forge Neo file: remove the extension and everything is as it was
Checks your Forge Neo at startup and tells you what to change instead of making a wrong image
Other models are not affected
Recommended Settings ⚙️
Images: Iris DPM++ 2M, Iris schedule, 50 steps (100 for the best quality), CFG 3, empty negative prompt
Turbo LoRA at weight 1: LCM, Iris Turbo, 4 steps, CFG 1
Use about 1 megapixel with sides a multiple of 16, such as 1024x1024, 1152x896 or 1280x832

Description
v0.2.1: First release on Civitai
Iris 3B in Forge Neo: checkpoint and text encoder load through the usual VAE / Text Encoder selector, with the iris UI preset and the Iris schedule.
Turbo LoRA, Restore x4 and Depth: a 1024x1024 image in 4 steps, a 4x restoration and depth maps of any picture.
Iris DPM++ 2M sampler and older GPUs: works on cards without bf16 (RTX 20xx), tested on an 8 GB RTX 2070.
Plays well with other extensions: the Forge check no longer breaks when another extension, such as MOSS-Image, hooks the loader first.
