This is a self contained HTML search engine for indexing your models outside of Stability Matrix. Something I made because I have multiple portable installations of Stability Matrix that access each other libraries, but because only one instance of Stability Matrix can be opened at one time, it forces me to shut down one to look up the metadata hold in the library of the other.
I made External Indexer for Stability Matrix to overcome this issue. Simply open the html page locally, select your data source, and wait for the page to index your models.

- Core functionality – Load an entire folder tree (via the “Data Source” file picker) and automatically build an index of all .safetensors files together with any accompanying companion files, such as *.cm-info.json, *.json Forge files, and preview images.
- Smart title generation – A configurable list of camouflage terms is stripped from each model’s original name to produce a cleaner “smart title”. This also strips away all non alphanumeric characters to make searching easier, as well as the option to remove spaces from smart titles as well.
- Search & filter UI – Full‑text search across raw file names, titles, tags, trained words, descriptions, and the smart title; plus options for normalizing separators, minimum search length, NSFW filtering, and Forge‑file presence.
- Sorting – Order by title, smart title, file name or size (ascending/descending).
- Interactive cards – Each entry shows file size, a link to the model on Civitai, status of the Forge JSON file, tags, preview image icon, description tooltip, Trigger Words copy button, relative folder path, raw file name, and a button to remove individual entry cards.
- Hover tooltips & preview pop‑ups – Hovering over icons or card content displays a small overlay with additional information or an image preview.

- Description in Card – A new checkbox now injects the model description directly beneath the title, making it easier to copy any Trigger words that are hiding in the description.
