The model I think is fairly self explanatory.

You know, part of why I think I love Mech Warrior and Battletech, and this might be head canon, because I've never read the fluff or background material, I just understand it through observation.

That the giant war death machines are the only things that are acceptable to die in the universe, killing pilots is tantamount to a war crime.

So basically, in my head, of that war, since basically every pilot safely ejects, it's a war where nobody dies, and you just destroy toys, and it's probably the most war-torn bullshit universe out side of warhammer 40k, but it's probably the only time I have ever seen ethical war combat.

Because it's not about killing. It's sock em bop-em robots.
