Banditella is a satirical comic character by Tommy e Claudio (Tommaso Eppesteingher and Claudio Marmugi) for Italian satire magazine Il Vernacoliere. Her civilian name is Ana, an Eastern European badante, the Italian term for a home caregiver who looks after elderly people, assigned to the crude and cantankerous Livornese Nedo.
Her name Banditella plays on badante and bandita, while “superbadante” means “super-caregiver.” She wears a superhero costume and is skilled in martial arts, but does not appear to have actual superpowers. The strips are mainly adult satirical comedies about caregiving, aging, politics, bureaucracy, and Italian current events.
