Material Realism is a visual realism LoRA focused on physically believable surface materials. It enhances microtexture, roughness variation, natural imperfections, weathering, erosion, pores, grains, cracks, scratches, stains, worn edges, and realistic light interaction across stone, rock, concrete, brick, wood, metal, fabric, soil, and other surfaces.
The LoRA is designed to improve material realism without defining the overall composition or subject. It works especially well with landscape, environment, architectural, and object-focused LoRAs, adding convincing physical surface detail while allowing the primary LoRA to control the overall visual style.
The training dataset (999 picture 1024x1024) is primarily composed of stone, rock, concrete, brick, wood, metal, fabric, soil, and related physical materials. It is not specifically trained as a skin, fur, feather, or biological-surface LoRA.
Trigger word: real_surface
Description
Use the trigger word real_surface to activate the material realism effect. For best results, describe the actual material or surface in the prompt and combine this LoRA with a separate style, environment, or subject LoRA when needed.

Interesting how this LoRA works. Where you place the trigger word will materially affect the inorganic objects in the gen (BTW, pls include the actual trigger word in the safetensors because I am 100% sure I will forget it). I have a humanoid robot character in the prompt and in A/B tests using the same seed the robot got three different looking heads when placing the trigger word "real_surface" in the beginning, the middle or the end of the prompt.
The trigger word is real_surface. I trained the LoRA with the trigger embedded naturally in the caption, rather than always placing it at the beginning. For example: “A flat green surface has a real_surface showing uniform and bright with subtle small white speckles scattered throughout.” I normally put it at the end when testing, and it works fine.
Extremely good previews my dude, wish we had a "chainmail" material, Krea has a insanely bad idea of what exactly is "chainmail" any knight ends up with some weird ringed material that makes no sense
I’ve added it to the cover image as you requested.

Replacing "chainmail" with specific structural words like woven steel wire fabric or diamond-shaped interlocking links forces Krea to render a clean, logical metallic texture instead!
@Caphaomuoi thanks manga, might try back at home, till now Krea has been insanely good in pretty much everything else, but considering how many knights from the 1100s I make I'm CONSTANTLY in contact with chainmail, is just a "me" kinda use case tho
