Bamse is a Swedish cartoon strip created by Rune Andréasson. It first emerged as a series of television short films and a weekly half-page Sunday strip in 1966. The main character, Bamse, is a brown bear who becomes the world's strongest bear by eating a type of honey called "dunderhonung" (thunder-honey).
