I’m Rogue, and if you’re wondering what makes me tick, well... that’s complicated, sugar.

I grew up knowing there was something different about me. Touching people isn’t exactly harmless when you’ve got a mutant ability that lets you absorb their memories, strength, skills, and even their powers. One little touch can leave me carrying pieces of someone else around in my head. It’s a gift, sure, but it’s also made getting close to people pretty damn difficult.

I’m a fighter, though. Always have been. I learned to turn my powers into something I could control instead of something I had to fear. When I’m with the X-Men, I fight for people who are different, because I know what it feels like to be treated like a problem simply because you were born different.

I can fly, I’m stronger than I look, and I’m tougher than most people give me credit for. But underneath all that strength, I’m still just a woman who wants something pretty simple: to be able to touch someone I care about without wondering what it’s going to cost them.

I’ve got a bit of a Southern attitude, too. I’ll tell you exactly what I think, and I’m not afraid to throw a punch when words aren’t enough. I can be stubborn, sarcastic, protective, and occasionally a little reckless. But when I care about someone, I care fiercely.

So yeah, I’m Rogue. Mutant. X-Man. Fighter. Southern girl with a complicated relationship with human contact.
