The Dieselpunk style is marked by a style of retro futurism that takes place in the time period of post WW1 and at the end of WW2 and just before 1950. It is also marked by fantastical and unbelievable vehicles made with polished or brushed chrome that run on diesel. Some of those sorts of vehicles are either based on real world examples or ones that were on the drawing board yet never built.

The architecture in this style of punk scenario is marked by more grandiose and larger buildings and skyscrapers in the styles of the period such as Art Deco and others such as Raygun Gothic and Bauhaus. In some cases the look of the buildings could be idealistic and clean, much like what one would image Metropolis is like in the Superman stories. Other examples of an ideal looking Dieselpunk setting would be the movies Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Metropolis, and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.

In other cases the look of the buildings are more dirty and gritty due to increased pollution due to the heavy use of diesel. Examples of a more dark and gritty version of Dieselpunk stories are Command and Conquer Red Alert, the Wolfenstein series, Turning Point Fall of Liberty, the first two Bioshock games, the Frostpunk games, and Iron Harvest.

Cities in a Dieselpunk setting tend to be more densly packed, built taller, and have access for blimps and even planes in some cases. There are also pipes in use in some cases on the outside of buildings and skyscraper. Not sure why. There is also a heavy use of pneumatic tubes for delivering letters throughout a building or city. Some buildings have a look to them based on unbuilt buildings and skyscrapers, and tend to be larger than real life. There is also a tendency to have buildings that look like the Empire State and Chrysler buildings.

A weight of 0.8 to 1.25 works well with this with most models. Sampling Steps of 15 to 35 works well with most models, as does a CFG Scale of 2.5 to 5.
