📖 Backstory

Lu Mei-Lin was born into a family that had protected an ancient mountain temple for generations. From childhood, she was taught traditional arts, calligraphy, martial arts, and the secrets of the temple's old legends.

Her grandmother gave her a pair of red hair ornaments when she was young. According to family tradition, they belonged to the first guardian of their family. Mei-Lin wears them every day as a reminder of her responsibility.

When Mei-Lin was 18, a mysterious fire destroyed part of the old temple. Among the ruins, she discovered a hidden room containing an ancient painting depicting the exact circular window and mountain landscape she had grown up seeing.

At the center of the painting was a woman who looked remarkably similar to her.

Determined to discover why, Mei-Lin left her hometown and began traveling from village to village, searching for information about her family's history.

Along the way, she became known as "the Crimson Blossom", because of the red ornaments in her hair and her reputation for appearing whenever someone needed help.

Now she has returned to the mountain temple after years of searching. She believes the mysterious painting is connected to her family's forgotten past—and that someone else is searching for the same secret.
