[Workflow] Wan2.1 + SCAIL for Animating Images for Movement - v1.0
    Preview 136682825

Animate a character image with motion from any video

Open this ready-to-run workflow on Floyo. No install needed.

    HOW IT WORKS

Step 1. Upload your character image. A clean full-body or mid-shot reference of the character you want to animate. SCAIL holds the face, outfit, and colors steady across the whole clip. Works great with: illustrations · 3D renders · photos · AI characters

Step 2. Upload your driving video. The motion you want to copy, like a dance, a walk, or a fight sequence. The workflow reads the pose skeleton out of it frame by frame.

Step 3. Add a style prompt. A short line for the look and context, like "cinematic studio footage, soft lighting."

Step 4. Hit run and download. SCAIL maps the motion onto your character and generates the clip. Preview it in the workflow, then download. Ready for: Premiere · CapCut · DaVinci Resolve · any editor

First time? Leave every setting as-is. The pose detectors, the SCAIL model, and the speed LoRA are already wired. Bring a clean character image and a clear driving video, and let the defaults run.

    Overview

This workflow animates a character image using Wan 2.1 and SCAIL. SCAIL is a pose-guided animation model built on the Wan 2.1 image-to-video backbone. It takes three inputs: your character image, a driving video with the motion you want, and a short style prompt. A pose detector pulls the skeleton out of the driving video, and SCAIL converts it into a 3D-aware pose map that respects depth and occlusion. CLIP encodes your character, so the face, outfit, and colors hold across the sequence. Wan 2.1 then generates the frames. Older pose systems break limbs and lose tracking on fast movement. SCAIL's 3D pose handling is what fixes that, which is why it follows complex motion and quick zooms without falling apart.

Who it's for: creators, VTubers, and animation teams who want pose-driven character animation in ComfyUI without wiring the pose detectors and SCAIL nodes from scratch. Not for: a fast one-click clip. You need a clean character image and a good driving video, and a run takes about eight minutes.

    Why Floyo

Floyo is the only ComfyUI platform built for teams in the browser.

    • Made for teams. Share run history, files, and models across your whole team. A teammate opens your exact run and picks up where you left off. No file handoffs, no version confusion.

    • No install, no setup. Every workflow and model is preloaded. Open it in your browser and run. Nothing to download, nothing to configure.

    • No local hardware. Workflows run on H100 NVL GPUs, so heavy models run fast without a card of your own. Your VRAM stops being the limit.

    • Open and closed models in one place. Floyo runs open-source workflows and API models side by side.

How to use (in your browser on Floyo)

    1. Upload your character image and the driving video with the motion you want.

    2. Add a short style prompt, then run.

    3. Download the animated clip, ready for any editor.

Expectations The models are preloaded, so there is nothing to download. Running it needs a free Floyo account. This one is heavier than most: each clip takes about eight minutes, because the workflow extracts the full pose sequence and then generates every frame. Two limits to know: SCAIL is a preview model, so results vary between runs, and your driving video decides most of the outcome. Occlusions, crowds, and heavy motion blur in the source show up as artifacts in the animation.

    Use Cases

Short-form & Social. Map a dance or a trending motion from a real video onto your own character or avatar.

VTubers & Character Artists. Turn a single illustration into an animated performance while the design holds.

Games & Animation. Prototype cutscenes, choreography, or blocking without building a 3D rig.

Ads & Branding. Bring a mascot or a character to life using real, filmed motion.
