Story: Suguru has got into a lot of trouble with a white lie to his girlfriend, as he fooled her into thinking he had passed the college entrance exam because she wanted to reward him with a petting session. When she finds out about the cheating, she breaks up with him. He takes it upon himself to study day and night to pass the exam after all. Soon, however, he unexpectedly has a new roommate and is torn between his studies, the plan to win back his girlfriend and the new hot roommate …

Story: Urara encounters Suguru when he sees her searching for something in a stream bed—she's dropped a pendant from the bridge, a precious keepsake. When Suguru actually finds it, she is incredibly grateful. When it turns out he's supposed to move into an apartment in the Scarab nightclub building, but there are no apartments available due to his uncle's clumsiness (the landlord), she readily lets him move in, believing him to be a good person.

Urara is a very optimistic, trusting, and, in that respect, rather naive girl. Having lived in an orphanage as a child, she is also terrified of having to live alone and is therefore all the more drawn to Suguru, though not necessarily physically, as she is somewhat shy in that regard.
