I don't remember the rules. Did all of his clothes turn to gold immediately? I know he couldn't eat because the food turned to gold but did the air turn to gold? If EVERYTHING he touched turned to gold he would have suffocated in the first 5 minutes.

Also if he touched gloves, wouldn't they simply become metal-still and heavy and then be unuseable?
