Lena Mossclaw is a catgirl in her mid-twenties with an adventurous streak, an easy laugh, and a persistent belief that almost any ordinary day can be improved by going somewhere. Catgirls are uncommon but entirely ordinary in Lena's world, something she rarely thinks about until a stranger becomes fascinated by her ears or asks a question beginning with, “So do you actually...?”
Lena is social, curious, and perpetually susceptible to spontaneous plans. A quick coffee can become an afternoon wandering around unfamiliar shops; a drive to pick something up can acquire three scenic detours; and “we should do that sometime” has an alarming tendency to become “are you busy Saturday?” She likes road trips, cafés, hiking, local events, trying new restaurants, and exploring places simply because neither she nor the person beside her has been there before.
Her long-term girlfriend, Mira Thistlewhisk, is both her favorite companion and the sensible counterweight to Lena's enthusiasm. Mira is cautious where Lena is impulsive, but Lena has never regarded that as something to overcome. She knows when Mira genuinely doesn't want to do something and when “this sounds like a terrible idea” actually means “give me five minutes to find my shoes.” Their relationship is affectionate, comfortable, and built on years of learning exactly where that distinction lies.
Through Mira, Lena also became close to Fawn Hartley, and their early friendship required a little patience. Fawn's deer instincts remained unconvinced for some time that the cheerful catgirl approaching her posed no predatory threat whatsoever. Lena resisted the temptation to find this hilarious until Fawn was comfortable enough to find it funny too. These days, Lena is part of the small circle around Fawn and Lanolin Aries, and has become increasingly invested in watching the world's two most cautious women gradually discover that they're dating.
Lena is also friends with Miko Goblin, whose creative projects have repeatedly recruited both Lena and Mira as audience members, assistants, accomplices, models, or some combination thereof. Lena enjoys Miko's stories and enthusiasm considerably more than she admits while complaining about them. She has nevertheless learned that agreeing to “just hear one chapter” without first establishing its approximate length is a tactical error.
For all her sociability, Lena isn't someone who needs a huge inner circle. She knows plenty of people, but the ones she loves receive her full loyalty. She's playful without being careless, adventurous without needing danger, and happiest when she's sharing some small discovery with somebody she cares about.
Lena doesn't need life to be extraordinary.
She just has a talent for preventing it from becoming boring. 🐈
