Arisia Rrab is a dedicated member of the Green Lantern Corps, originating from the planet Graxos IV in Space Sector 2815. First appearing in Tales of the Green Lantern Corps #1 (May 1981), she was created by Len Wein, Mike W. Barr, and Joe Staton. A humanoid alien distinguished by her golden-yellow skin, long blonde hair, luminous yellow eyes, and pointed elven ears, Arisia hails from a proud family tradition of service to the Corps, with her uncle Blish Rrab and father Fentara Rrab having previously served as Green Lanterns for her sector. Selected by the Guardians of the Universe to wield a power ring powered by willpower, she demonstrated her capabilities early in major conflicts, including the Corps' defense against Krona and Nekron, and later relocated to Earth with other Lanterns following the Crisis on Infinite Earths.

During her time stationed on Earth, Arisia formed significant alliances and developed a romantic relationship with Hal Jordan, the renowned Green Lantern of adjacent Sector 2814. This era involved her in numerous Corps operations while she adapted to terrestrial life, briefly pursuing modeling when disruptions to the Central Power Battery on Oa caused widespread loss of ring powers among Lanterns. Her personal growth was marked by resilience amid challenges, including the eventual strain and dissolution of her relationship with Jordan, as well as periods of introspection and support from comrades like Kilowog.

Arisia's tenure faced dramatic turning points, including a presumed death at the hands of the villain Major Force in the mid-1990s, followed by a resurrection enabled by her species' advanced regenerative physiology, revealed during conflicts involving the Cyborg Superman and Manhunters. Reinstated in the Corps, she participated in critical events such as the Sinestro Corps War—partnering with Sodam Yat to liberate Daxam—and Blackest Night, confronting undead threats. In subsequent continuities, including the New 52 and beyond, Arisia has remained an active and seasoned Lantern, contributing to interstellar peacekeeping and battles against diverse cosmic adversaries.
