Phil Noto is an American illustrator and comic book artist known for his elegant, retro-inspired style. After studying at the Ringling School of Art & Design, he began his career as a clean-up artist at Disney, contributing to animated classics like Mulan, Tarzan, and Lilo & Stitch. He later transitioned to comics, working with Marvel, DC, Image, and Dark Horse. His notable titles include Uncanny X-Force, Black Widow, Star Wars: Poe Dameron, and The Infinite Horizon, which earned an Eisner nomination. Noto also works as a concept artist for video games and describes his aesthetic as reminiscent of vintage paperback covers.
