Diving into Janku's Unholy Desire to provide a merge which brings us endless mayhem and fun...
JANKU v5 Trained + NoobAI + RouWei Illustrious XL + Diving Illustrious Niji Sketch + Unholy Desire Mix Sinister Aesthetic V5. = AniMayhem!
My second Checkpoint merge is a departure from the semi realistic and further into the anime realm.
I won't try and tell you how to live your life, but I've been very successful with the following
Can go as low as 14 steps and cfg of 2 with decent results using Euler a / normal.
DPM++ 2M and 2M SDE
Karras
30-40 steps
Cfg under 5
Or
Euler A
Normal
24 steps
cfg 4.5 or lower
Can go as low as 14 steps and cfg of 2 with decent results.
As always - adetailer or the like for distance. And use your pos/neg embeddings!!
I prefer Lazy Embeddings for all - however you may have your own preference.
Description
Updated Janku portion to Janku v6
Adjustment to middle blocks of second step of the merge
more contrast and depth - better lighting
better eye detail
more consistent hands (this was unintended, but seems to be the case)

V2 is soooo goooood!
Glad you like it! I feel the same.
Awesome lora indeed buddy.
i mean, thanks... it's a checkpoint.... but thanks.
@Whistler_ai Your an amazing lora creator.
@Whistler_ai As will you make an amazing models.
Can't wait to see your loras once you finally make one. For now, I will have to be content with your amazing checkpoints and wildcards. You're (you are) very good at those for sure! Jury is still out on your loras though!
How does this model handle prompt adherence?
example prompt:
a cute corgi, playing in the snow, digital painting, at sunrise in the mountains,
on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being best adherence.
Feel free to give it your own try as well.
The ultimate checkpoint!
Awesome checkpoint! Prompt adherence is sooo good ❤️
Really good checkpoint! Definitely deserves more attention!
Appreciate you saying that.
I’ve been looking forward to this new version for a while, and it definitely delivers. The update feels like a real step forward—everything comes across smoother, sharper, and more expressive. It’s one of those releases where you can tell the creator put real care into refining the details, because the results just click in a way the earlier versions didn’t quite capture.
What I love most is how versatile it feels. Whether you’re going for something moody, vibrant, or just plain striking, this version adapts beautifully without losing its unique character. It’s the kind of upgrade that makes you want to revisit old ideas and see them in a fresh light.
Overall, it’s a fantastic release and worth the wait. Big thanks to the creator for pushing this forward—I can already tell this one’s going to be a go-to for me.
Thank you for the kind words. I am very happy with how this turned out.
I've been testing this model for about a month and a half, and the least I can say is :
Understanding the Prompt : 10/10 🔥
Accuracy of details : 10/10 🔥
Prompt control accuracy : 10/10 🔥
Quality and colours : 10/10 🔥
Variety of styles, quality, no problems with lora, quality, details and colors : 10/10 🔥
This checkpoint is the very best among anime models for beginners and professionals. Great work bro, Thank you, keep up the good work ✨
Thank you for the kind words. Have you run v2 through its paces as well?
@Whistler_ai your welcome bro, about the v2 model I still didn’t test it a lot yet, but I already did a simple comparison between them. I used 10 different prompts, each prompt focuses on something like small and tiny details, skin, poses, colors and others, and I found them almost close in the results.
the points where V2 is better than V1 are the lighting, dynamic poses, and small fabric details, and the colors are more vibrant.
V1 was better in body details especially the fingers, V1 didn’t have problems with fingers unlike V2, and depth of field shots are better on V1 too.
for your information I used both models without any loras, I only used lazyneg in every prompt, I didn’t add anything else because I wanted to see the raw difference between them. maybe V2 becomes much better when using embeddings and loras, so this is just my view after a simple test between them, and I only tested V2 in sfw, so I will see more in the future after working with it for a while just like V1.
Wow. So Cool🔥👍
Excellent
very good thanks ill wait next one
??
@Whistler_ai Sorry, my English isn't the best, but this is great. Very good work. I'll be excited for a new checkpoint.
@myklo Thank you !
Seems to do wonders when trying to separate prompts for multiple characters. It doesn't get mixed up a lot.
Awesome hidden gem in the sea of the same 10 top models.
Very kind of you!
You checkpoint is amazing, but I have in many time a full black render with the TrueGrit one , if you have a solution. thx
I don't know that a full black render would be caused by the checkpoint. On site or Local gen?
@Whistler_ai on site, yes, I tried many different setting , but just with a simple k sampler and a lora character , sometime its not working and sometime yes ^^
@Tloog unless you are picking really strange settings - i'm going to bet it's a civit generation issue.
I was about to say the same thing. I am using comfyui with mine. Run the other one and it has issues run this one and its black screen in the ksampler. I am still seeing if I have a weird setting somewhere. Going to run more tests with it because it is weird.
@Jgbrandon Please do, and let me know. I have not run into this at all.
Are you open to sharing your workflow?
@Whistler_ai I have been cleaning up the workflow as it is very long and chaotic. I found a Lora that was causing some issues with the generation but not the Black Preview. I cannot replicate now on my image generation at all. But the up-scaling workflow I can if I change the clip from -2 to -1 bingo it always fails to render image just a black screen.
Also my CFG was way to high. It was a 7 and I normally run it at 1.6.
Also even though my Control_Nets I was using worked they are not for SDXL/Illustrious based Checkpoints. I swapped the Canny and Open_Pose to illustrious ones and it is a cleaner image now on that.
My suggestion for Tlood is to check his CFG, clip, Loras and VAE to ensure they all play nicely with Illustrious.
Check the Logs from Console to see if you are getting a Lora Diffusion model error. (How I found out my Lora was a pain and not doing anything)
Also needing to remove some Custom Nodes I was using that are outdated. Comfy has some now that replace it built in. So Bonus.
I can still send you @Whistler_ai The Upscaler IMG2IMG Workflow if you want.
I am still learning Comfy and all the things it can do.
You really outdid yourself this time. Love the color and compositions.
