Thomas Waterman Wood (1823–1903)

This is a LoRA dedicated to the style of American genre artist, Thomas Waterman Wood. He is best known for his detailed and emotive scenes of 19th century America. Most notable may be his triptych, "A Bit of War History: The Contraband, The Recruit, and The Veteran" that explores the experiences of African American soldiers during and after the war.
