To prevent "weird crap" on high CFGs you can add some "Contrast Adjustment" LORA with negative weight. Instability on high CFG is directly affected by contrast of your model.
Added a few images combining my freckles LoRA using a slight variation on your prompt.

Works quite well as Draft Stage in my "HiFi Render workflow". Downside is the fact that FlyingColl quite often renders the CORRECT AMOUNT OF FINGERS ;)
Due to this issue I forced to not wasting a lot of time on repeats to get good fingers. They often gets correct from 1st or 2nd attempt. How SAD!!!
