Chalia is such an OP Newtype in this setting he more than likely knew where the cockpit was too. Man intentionally avoided a kill shot. He probably felt sorry for her, or just didn't want to kill her in general. She'll more than likely be back. When? Who knows. Doesn't mean she won't die later, but for now the Gquuuuuux team has her in their back pocket as a surprise reveal for anyone who doesn't know the specifics of the Psycho Gundam.
