I finally realized these are illustrations on wood and not stained glass... whoops!

Strength of this version (7) is good at like 0.9-1.4. Higher steps better, like 40. Longer, more descriptive prompts give better results, something like "cat" doesn't work at all. Drop the strength to get rid of the border, blur on the corners, texture, etc. - these are intentional from the source.

I like 832x1024 because it matches the aspect ratio of the source images, but this works well with other aspect ratios as well. Most of the example images were upscaled 3x with SUPIR.
