Verne is a science-loving geologist who is convinced ghosts can be found by studying rocks – after all, his beloved Geology professor grandmother experienced it first-hand! He is on a quest to prove her theories right – no matter what people think of him – so he can save her (and her theories) from being persecuted by naysayers… An attentive grandson, a daring ghost-hunting geologist, a driven scientist and a charismatic storyteller, Verne’s fanaticism has grown – but even as he extols her theories to anyone who will listen, deep down, in a place he moodily tries to suppress even from himself, the scientist in him is questioning them. A rival to Newt Fleetfoot, Verne is constantly trying to distance himself from that cryptid mumbojumbo, but finds they may be more alike than he initially thought.
