As an unnaturally heavy mist descends on the battlefield, King Andragoras and his most valued officers confer among the bodies of dead and dying soldiers. When Daryoon, a young but highly skilled officer, voices his reluctance to send men into battle under these conditions, the king, unstable and enraged, banishes him. Now, Daryoon's new mission is to insure the safety of the King's only son, Prince Arislan. Daryoon and Prince Arislan set off on a quest of their own, but they can't succeed alone. They must convince both the Lord Narsus and his companion, the archer Elam, to join them in their quest to somehow help the soldiers win the war. Now a group of only six they must somehow overcome an enemy of 300,000 soldiers! These unlikely soldiers have fate on their side, so anything can happen!

Out of curiosity, why the OVA instead of the full series? (Which is quite good, albeit unfinished.)
I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT we used LMAO - We Downlaoded a bunch of data and i thnk most of it's either OVA or base series, i'd have to check - we've seen ONE of the things dunno if it was OVA or otherwise.
@duskfallcrew The OVA was made in 1991–95, and this style looks more like it. The series, which is a remake (which is to say that the OVA came years before the series and they are alternative versions), came out in 2015 and is much "prettier" by modern anime standards.

@dita Ahhh XD I was like 18 when i saw the first one but i was 18 in 2001, <_< so i'm extremely out of the loop because it went from not realizing that MY DAD used to like "ANIME" before it was called Anime (Macross & Appleseed etc -- y'know Robotech etc XD)
@duskfallcrew Yup, I had a friend in college who was into Macross and all those. Back then, "anime" was just catching on, and most people still knew it as "Japanimation". He made me watch Ghost in the Shell one time. I totally did not understand a single thing. That was my introduction to anime. But I didn't actually start watching it until 2009 when I kept seeing tons of ads on Hulu for the Naruto card game. So I was curious and decided to check it out. I became hooked on anime, at the age of 33. And I'm still hooked, at the age of 47.
In those 14 years, according to MyAnimeList, I've watched 342.64 days (8223.4 hours) of anime, not counting the the time I spent on titles that I dropped (over 400) or put on hold (about 40). That's only the ones I've completed: 1121 series, 121 OVAs, 93 movies, 101 specials. I've cut back a lot though. For many years I watched about 40-45 series per season, but now it's "only" 20 or so. Counting the time I've spent on titles that are on hold, dropped, and currently watching, I've probably cleared a full year now. A year of my life, 24 minutes at a time.
