Tutorial:
1. Have Automatic Web UI installed
2. Use the ControlNET extension
3. Download the ControlNET models as explained here to your WebUI
4. Choose a nice SD 1.5 model (suggestions at the bottom)
5. Restart the webUI and expand the Control NET Panel:
There are many ways you can use this tool, but for the OpenPose system, drag your pose in to the image space (1) then click enable (2) and finally select ControlNETPreTrained_openposeDifference (3)
From here you can use txt2img to prompt away like normal :)

could you kindly confirm whether the current model is redundant or if downloading the latest version is sufficient?
each version contains more poses, unless noted otherwise. Some poses might have been removed due to low quality or being "black squares" that i missed. In one case some JSON were missing. The latest version is always the best version.
These are the first poses I have downloaded. Where do I put them in my A1111 Web UI Autoinstaller files?
you don't have to put them into Auto. There is a video tutorial at the bottom of the page description, this explains how these are used and where to get the extensions you need. The poses are dropped into the input for control net when you select the openpose model there.
