For ComfyUI users!
Since there are no ComfyUI-specific instructions in the description, I spent some time experimenting with this unique model and figured out a workaround.
Just as the author mentioned, you absolutely need the 'FreeU' and 'DynamicThresholdingFull' nodes. However, here is the catch: if you set the mimic_scale in DynamicThresholdingFull to the recommended 8, your images will look very washed out/gray.
Here is what worked for me:
For the v9 model: Set mimic_scale to 10, and keep the CFG in your KSampler about 10-12.
For the 'huge' model: The settings above won't work. You need to lower both the mimic_scale and CFG.
If your generations are coming out gray and flat, adjusting these two settings should be your first troubleshooting step
