i’m not a fan of comparisons, but what stands out with v9 is that it works both with various quality tags and negative prompts ~ and also without them.
Adetailer? optional.
in some showcase images i simply didn’t use it ^^
hires, i remain a fan of upscaling, just to give the model more room to unfold. but the model can be used without it.
steps? i prefer around 40, but 20 have their own charm too. entirely up to your taste ^^
for different hardware, whether onsite or local. i’ll only be able to test onsite later, so it was important to me to try the model locally first with smaller settings :)

I really enjoy V6! Something about it really harkens back to V1 and V2. It dials back the 2.5D and has a much more anime feel. If you are a fan of V1 + V2 you'll really like this one. For me, V4 + V5 felt like different models. But this one is a return to form in the best way.

Everytime a decent checkpoint comes out the creator always has to screw everyone over with this bid bullshit. Well, time to find a new one.

I don't earn any money with AI art. I can't pay for every model every week at the current prices as places are limited.

Well,
recently I was testing animij for the first time and I am struggling to generate male characters, even with LoRAs. Is this inherently to the model? I mean:
- "1boy" don't mean anything here?
- I was doing "1boy, brock \(pokemon\), solo" or "1boy, brock_(pokemon), solo" but it never outputs brock only boys with many feminine characteristics even with "masculine" or similar in the prompt.
- when I used a LoRA for the character Brock I could generate Brock but still with some twink or afeminated look.
This is not a complain or anything, just a question, because if it is impossible to generate an image of a masculine solo guy it would be good to know, that way I can stop trying to do something I can't do haha

@Mescalamba yes, it does :) not exactly as I wanted but I could make it work without LoRA, which is great <3 but I think the model may have some bias (all models do). I can generate excellent images with Animij except solo masculine guys, which is ok since there are great models which focus on this :)
But yes, it is possible.
And, like I said, it wasn't a complain or critic, but just a question. But people will downvote anyway hahahahah
@dystoipa How much masculine you need it to be? Just use words that define it indirectly. Using "masculine" implies for most models "female with masculine traits", which is what you dont want. Its bit like "photorealistic" for majority of models and CLIP means "artwork in photorealistic style", not actually photo real. Yet users use it so much, some checkpoints just use it too these days. :D
Add more weight to "muscular", "abs" and so on. Maybe add "mature, adult" to it with some extra weight. Use some AI to help you with prompt.
If you want him to look more like Brock, (Brock from Pokemon series, brock \pokemon\:1.1), and change weight to 1.3 or more. Not sure it works here on Civitai, but for sure does in ComfyUI. Altho image does look rather different there, so I would say Forge is preferable (as Reijlita uses that, cant match look in ComfyUI, would need to do more research).
I would say it can produce pretty manly males, if user wants to. In this case I would say its more about prompt than model itself.

So we bid every week to get one place out of the 100 possible for a week.
after the week we offer again for one new week.
That's why I say I can't pay 30k per week per model :I That's a lot for me too, especially since there are only 100 spaces and other people also like to see their models on the site :)

There was an attempt once, but given the abundance of models, there was probably a cost issue regarding servers etc. I don't know anything about that, but I can understand.

It's like the items in League of Legends if you want. Sometimes they are modified to such an item that they look nothing like what they were originally, at this level it is better to recreate an item with a new logo and a new name rather than sacrificing an already existing item? (I don't know if you understood what I meant, I made a fake example, but it's not easy to express yourself via Google Translate sometimes)
@moodlune I understand what you mean. Animij was originally conceived as an idea to create new styles that didn't exist yet.
That's why I haven't done one in a long time ^^ because anime is anime ^^ and even though there are many styles, you don't want to copy one :D
Looking back, it might have made more sense to create different models, because basically all Animij versions, even if they are similar, have their own look - I agree with you.
I personally really like the look of v1.
But probably also because it's my first animebaby^^ also my own anime look.
Nowadays I'm just trying to make sure that you don't "have to" use quality tags and I'm doing a lot of tinkering because there can be differences on site and locally, especially depending on the hardware.
Here I just want to create a playground for as many different tastes as possible with different options.
