Should we see these as a progression, where the newest one is always better, or are they just different?
They're just different. If there's a progression or alternative it'll be posted as a different version of the same model on the same page. You can see this in DarkfireStyle01 where in version 1 I didn't know what I was doing and didn't curate the image set well, and in DarkfireWeeb02 where I added a sketch version.
There may still be some similarities, though, since I'm building to my own tastes.
If I were to start all over again I'd probably change my naming conventions and cluster things together more, but it is what it is. As it stands any new numbered style is its own and unique.
