Michelle Jacquet DeSevren Branch, born on July 2, 1983, in Sedona, Arizona, is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. She gained prominence in the early 2000s with her blend of pop-rock melodies and heartfelt lyrics.

Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Branch began singing at the age of three and received her first guitar on her 14th birthday. She taught herself to play and soon started composing her own songs. Her early performances in local venues led to the self-release of her debut album, Broken Bracelet, in 2000.

Breakthrough with The Spirit Room

In 2001, Branch signed with Maverick Records and released her major-label debut, The Spirit Room. The album featured hit singles like "Everywhere" and "All You Wanted," propelling her into mainstream success. Her collaboration with Santana on "The Game of Love" earned them a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 2003.
