After her severance procedure was complete, Helly (played by actress Britt Lower) woke up on a table, confused and unable to remember who she was or what had happened. She heard a voice talking to her asking her questions, but she refused to answer until she realized she couldn't escape the room. She found she was unable to answer most of the questions, as she didn't know the answers, but at the end, Mark Scout told her she'd gotten a perfect score. He then told her she was Helly R. and explained that she'd been hired to a severed position at Lumon.
