I don't think you should feel ashamed or weird for saying they have a cloaca, that's just their biology, if anything I think anyone who draws them with human-like genitalia is weird, as that doesn't really make much sense for a species like them, plus they probably wouldn't have ever evolved twice the exact same on any two planets come to think of it... The correct plural is cloacae technically(tongue twister-y I know).
