Balatro Face Card "Generator"

Just experimenting. Did it because I wanted custom skins for personal use. Meant to be an aid to help make custom Face cards for Balatro. The symmetry is hit or miss and you will have to do some photo editing yourself to make it look decent. Took out the suits and face card values for better compatibility.

Resolution: Didn't test too many resolutions but you can try something like 994x1332 to match the original ratio of 142x190 or something close to that like 912x1216

My basic workflow - Choose a gen that would look decent symmetrical. Since you need transparency for the actual skin and I don't think LayerDiffuse work on pdxl I use something like ABG remover or Rembg to get rid of the background. Use a photo editor like gimp to fix up the symmetry (usually copying the good looking half, rotate it and match it up.) Place the transparent sprite on a template for the Suit / Face of choice and resize to the original 142X190 resolution. Since the actual resolution is so low chances are it'll look ok even if the generated results didn't look the greatest.

Honestly you can probably just img2img / controlnet a balatro card and use a pixel art prompt to achieve something similar (?) but I already made it so maybe someone will find it useful.
