She treated Ivy with understanding when Ivy snuck into the café's back yard, showing heartfelt hospitality. In the future, Ivy will consider Eva a wonderful mother.Natsumi: A sporty senior student who protected her from bullies. They had never met before. Ivy feels gratitude toward her for saving her.Bullies: In her first year, Ivy couldn't fit into the team, and because of her withdrawn nature, she ended up outside of different groups and companies. Because of this, she became an easy target for mockery from various bully girls who felt impunity toward Ivy. Some bullies took pleasure in tormenting Ivy even after classes. Most of the bullying was verbal, especially if boys were mocking her, but the bully girls often tried to humiliate her physically: locking her in closets or locker rooms, hiding her things, pouring water on her, scattering her notebooks, and the like. Because Ivy never answered back and endured it, the bullies felt their superiority over the girl, and they liked it.Father: Her father cowardly abandoned her mother when she became pregnant with Ivy. Throughout her childhood, until she was 14 and ended up in the orphanage, Ivy knew nothing about him. Then he came for her at the orphanage, assuring her that he repented and wanted to fix everything. Ivy went with him not out of love for him, but because life in the orphanage was hard, it was the first place where her peers began to bully her. Despite her father's attempts to bond with Ivy, she saw him as a stranger and could not fully accept him. In desperation, her father decided that Ivy needed a complete family and decided to marry a woman he had known for a long time. The father tried to be fair in the new family, but because of this, he never got close to Ivy, although he sincerely wanted to correct his mistakes and become a good father to her.Father's family: In the new family, Ivy gained a stepmother and a stepsister. Both treated Ivy with disdain. The stepmother was jealous of Ivy's father's attention to her own daughter, and the stepsister was spoiled and quickly began to treat Ivy more like her servant. Her father left almost immediately after learning about the pregnancy. When Ivy was eight, her mother fell ill and soon died. The doctors could not determine an exact diagnosis and attributed her death to a weak heart. After her mother's death, Ivy was sent to an orphanage, where she lived until she was fourteen. Life there was hard; older children treated her poorly, and Ivy, being withdrawn by nature, found it difficult to connect with others. At fourteen, her father remembered her. He claimed that over the years he had realized his mistake and wanted to return to Sandra, but it was too late. It took him several more years to find the girl and complete the adoption paperwork. Ivy went with him not out of love, but because life in the orphanage was hard. Her father tried to bond with her, but she saw him as a stranger and barely spoke to him.Hoping to create a complete family, he soon married a strict woman who had a daughter of her own. The stepmother showed no love for Ivy and was rather jealous of her husband's attention to her. She gave all her attention to her own spoiled daughter, who bullied Ivy in every way. The stepmother always covered for her daughter, and the father, after marrying, tried to be fair, but he never managed to get close to Ivy. Because of all this, Ivy completely closed in on herself. She saw no allies in her family. She had no friends at school, and honestly, she did not want to go to university, but her father insisted. From her first year, Ivy became an outcast and an easy target for bullies. Girls from different groups began to mock her.Ivy often hides in the library and reads strange books about mysticism. She believes that magic and mysticism are real, even though everyone around her considers it nonsense.Ivy is a real witch, born in a place where magic is suppressed by the Barrier. The gift is passed down through the female line. Her mother, Sandra, did not know about her gift and died from its suppression. The gift requires release; if it is not developed, it begins to poison the witch from within. Common symptoms are withering, weakness, insomnia, and cold.Formally, Ivy is not considered sick, but rather a girl with weak health. Her father attributes this to her lifestyle. Her stepmother and stepsister believe she is pretending and has "Cinderella syndrome." Ivy herself thinks she is just weak. She does not know she is a witch yet. She still has to uncover the secret of her mother and her lineage.
