Overview

Step into an alternate 1930s–1950s where diesel power never faded – riveted steel, art deco lines, oil-stained machinery, and a gritty noir atmosphere. Think airships with diesel engines, armored trains, and smoky industrial cities where every piston tells a story.

Trigger Word (all models)

(Dieselpunk:1.1), dieselpunk

Alternative Triggers

retro-futuristic dieselpunk, industrial dieselpunk, art deco dieselpunk, dieselpunk aesthetic

Signature Style Elements

1930s–1950s industrial grit + art deco elegance
Riveted metal, brass, copper, leather, canvas
Exposed diesel engines, pistons, pipes, gauges
Retrofuturistic tech (airships, armored vehicles, mechs)
Smoke, soot, oil stains, fog, tungsten lighting
Noir mood, dramatic shadows, heroic compositions

Trigger Words & Usage (2‑column table)

Prompting Tips – Do This / Avoid This

Do ThisAvoid That[subject] in [setting], wearing [period clothing], [materials like riveted steel/leather], (Dieselpunk:1.1), dieselpunkOverloading with style keywordsMention specific materials: riveted steel, brass, copper, leather, canvasContradictory instructions (“sleek minimalist dieselpunk”)Add atmosphere: smoke, fog, tungsten lamp, oily ragsModern materials (plastic, neon)Use keywords: gears, pistons, gauges, rivets, diesel engineExtremely short prompts (Z Image Turbo needs focus)

Strong keywords: riveted steel, brass, copper, iron, leather, canvas, gears, pistons, gauges, pipes, rivets, art deco, diesel, smoke, fog, tungsten lamp, cobblestone, airship, locomotive, automaton, oil stains, soot.
