Really cool style and a personal favorite of mine.
All example images were generated using:
1) For PonyXL: KestenXL checkpoint;
2) For NOOB: NoobAI-XL (NAI-XL) 1.0
3) For IllustriousXL - now that the site is fixed you can read the resources used. Splendid, right?
Description
The NAI version is pretty solid in my opinion, but for variety's sake here is the LoRA (not LoCon like with the NAI version) trained on IllustriousXL_01.
As with any difference between NAI and IL LoRAs, this one is stronger and overwhelms baked in styles more easily.

For some reason this IL model doesnt show up in the Lora folder, maybe it has thing to do with it being Lycoris instead of the usual lora ?

I'm not sure what you mean by "Lora folder". I just tried the Civit generator and both the Illustrious and NAI versions appear and are working.

What its the Locon and what the diff vs a lora
LoCon is a different type of model, it has additional layering. Basically it's looking at the data (images) in a more detailed, deeper way and can produce better results (outputs after prompting). Finer details, better understanding of texture, colours and so on.

What resources should I use the face doesn’t really come out great
ADetailer to automatically detect and mask over the face, or inpainting where you manually do the masking.
But the face wonkiness comes with the style, and more specifically the trained result. The shading, texture from the artist is great, but available models can't seem to grasp it properly.

Would you still consider doing Illustrious versions of the models that are still Pony only, for local generation purposes?

I have IL versions for all the Pony models I have uploaded, and also Pony versions for some of the IL only ones. I'll see if I would upload any.
