Pony XL is a fine tuning model from SDXL that's a bit special. It's so different from the base model, due to its advanced training, that it's almost a totally different model, both in the way it represents concepts and the way it interprets them in the prompt.

That's why it's sometimes easy to represent a concept like "a woman with a wooden or rusty metal skin" using base SDXL, whereas it's very difficult with Pony XL. It's especially true when it comes to representing non-human things, such as objects or environments.

The LoRAs from [Materials Series] provides a solution to this problem by injecting concepts on top of the base model.

The ultimate aim of this project is to represent as many concepts and materials as possible, both real and abstract, in order to extend the possibilities offered by Pony XL as far as possible.

These models are designed to be able to represent at least all of these :

• Characters made of a specific material

• Normal characters dressed in clothes made from a specific material

• Machines made of a specific material

• Environments in the theme of the specific material

But they are plenty of other creatives uses!

All these models are designed to work with Pony XL and its derivatives only (AutismMix, js2Prony, etc.). They have not been tested on the SDXL base and other models and should not work properly on them.
