ComfyUI Export for DaVinci Resolve

Why I made these nodes
I make/prompt videos in ComfyUI, and when a render finally finishes, the last thing I want is an extra step to convert it for an editing software. But that's what I got every time with DaVinci Resolve. I'd drop a perfectly good clip into DaVinci Resolve and it either wouldn't import at all or came in broken. I tried mp4, then mkv, then other formats. Same result. "Hollywood's #1 Post Solution" can't handle H.264? That's strange, I thought to myself.
It turns out the free version of Resolve has limited support for H.264 and H.265, the codecs nearly every phone, camera and AI video tool uses. On Linux it can't decode them at all, and on Windows support is partial and depends on the profile and your system. The paywall version Studio, at roughly $300, fills in the gaps. I get that a company has to make money, but basic file compatibility doesn't feel like a premium feature. Kdenlive is free, open source and built by volunteers, and it opens all of it without a fuss. Meanwhile, the software named after Leonardo da Vinci can't open a clip off your phone. Leonardo designed flying machines 500 years before flight, but the software with his name on it can't fly a phone clip into a timeline.
A lot of the people hitting this wall are small creators running on free tools, who then have to spend time converting every clip before they can touch it. Video editing is already time consuming and extra tedious steps like that drains your motivation and creative drive.
So I built a fix
ComfyUI Export for DaVinci Resolve a pair of ComfyUI nodes that export your video directly as a DNxHR or ProRes .mov, the formats editing software is designed around, so Resolve opens them with no complaints. You put the node in your workflow, run it, and the file lands in your output folder ready to drop on your timeline. It keeps your audio, gets the colors right, and works whether you're exporting an existing video or a batch of generated frames. It runs alongside your normal Save Video node, so you keep your usual file and get a Resolve-ready one from the same run. It needs no extra software installed either, just ComfyUI.
It's free and open source, because it shouldn't take a license to open a video file. Setup instructions, the full preset list and an example workflow are here on CIVITAI and on GitHub: [link]. If it saves you the same headache it saved me, I'm happy to hear about it.
