A Musical 250+ Update

.

When I first posted, I was not expecting to create videos, or music.
But here we are, thank you for the 250, make that 262 follows!

I'll skip my life story and get to the updates first.

The Music Focus collection 🎸

71 unique creators 🎶
177 videos collected

It's less than 3 weeks old, already full of great jams 🎧
If you'd like to hear more music on Civitai, consider following the collection.

A bounty and challenge 🤯🚀

Just this weekend, an image challenge.

🎖️This Image Wants a Music Video
⚡3k buzz starting pool.

And for 2 more weeks (Oct 17 deadline), a Music Video bounty.

📽️ Impressive Music Shorts
⚡5-15k buzz prize pool.

Huh, why? 😵‍💫

Well, I love creating music videos right now. And I'd like to encourage others to join in and explore this interesting niche. But making videos takes a good bit of time and VRAM /⚡.
So to celebrate the milestone I wanted to have something for everyone 🎉

Just here to browse and listen? - Maybe follow the collection.
Creating videos? - Maybe enter the video bounty.
Creating images? - Try your hand at the image challenge.

A question for you:

Finding new entries for the collection, I ran into a dilemma.

When creating the Music Focus 🎸 collection I wrote the following rule:
Fully AI generated; Audio, video, reference images, everything generated. Editing allowed.

Because this would showcase what's possible with AI. Hoping to inspire and connect people. Share what you've learned about using these models.

But what about musicians?

You know, 🌿 grass-fed, artisan music created without AI, or just partially with AI.
But the visuals are AI generated to create a music video.

Should the collection include non-AI music? That's my question to you.

Personally, I think music on Civitai is a teeny tiny niche. When you scroll through the giant daily feed, how many do you open? Sound doesn't play until you click them.

So it would be great to provide a little audience and help this music be discovered!

On the other hand, if you watch this collection to learn how to create AI music, you find something you really like and kindly ask the creator how they did it. They tell you, oh I used paid synths and a MIDI keyboard. You might get a little mad, thinking you could do this with AI.

Please share your thoughts: should I collect non-AI music too, or AI music only?
